MysTree is the concept and creation of Jan and John, born out of a love of crafting, our deeply held personal Pagan beliefs, and our joy at attending Mystic fayres.

Three years ago, life threw us some unexpected changes. Not ones to buckle under pressure, we decided that it was time for a total life change, and so the idea of MysTree was born. It helped that our friend Pauline, an aura reader, and another friend Crystella, a card reader, gave Jan a swift kick in the correct direction after giving her readings, but then Jan does need a kick from time to time to get her moving!

At first, our sojourns into the world of Mystic Fairs was tentative - our first trading show at Bude Free Spirits in Cornwall had a tiny display of the few wands and altar boards that Jan had created, and the first of the soulful Goddess offerings created by John. Not a lot really, but enough to be a start, a beginning, the Acorn of the Oak that was to follow. That day we met so many wonderful people, people of spirit, people of passion, and we knew then that our life's course was set. MysTree was truly born.

Our ethic is simple - we like to create the things that Pagans like to use, and we put such love and care into our products that sometimes it can be hard to say goodbye to something we have created and crafted, but we know in our hearts that this is the place it is meant to be, and for this we created it, be it a wand, an altar board or one of the many other things we make. And it is so much more special than something that has been mass produced with as much care and spirituality as the local supermarket!

We are both recyclers, and we aim to buy our wood from sustainable plantations, recycle packaging, and make bio-degradeable items for outdoor offerings. We like to leave as shallow a footprint as possible on mother earth. We hope that you will too.

Above all, we honour the old ways, the traditions that have held fast down the centuries, and we celebrate each season as it comes, watching as the Elements guide us through the year. Jan has a favourite saying, which she uses often;
